Last Week

Past few weeks had been busy with work, as usual. Managed to find some time out to meet up with a close friend who will be going away for 2 years in London. I will definitely miss his voice. He has the most angelic voice I have ever heard, and in the past, when the gang still hangs out together, we will always support him in which ever club he performs. No matter how drunk he gets, he never fail to mesmerize his audience with his talent, especially when he sings the all time favorite, "Rainbow Connection."

Last week after my colleague's wedding, I suddenly have doubts whether or not I should hold one in the future. It was really no fun at all... There was so much preparation to be done. I felt that I was like a superwoman that day.

I was the

  • bride's maid for the couple,
  • the 'auntie' who help with the tea ceremony,
  • the events coordinator for the dinner programme run down, which includes the sound, lighting, rehearsal, miscellaneous logistic,
  • PR manager for the clients who turned up,
  • bride's maid walking down the aisle,
  • the person to get every table ready for table photography shoot.
The couple were happy, the bride cried during the special item that we had prepared for them as a gift. But I was totally flat at the end of it...

Waiting for the pictures to be developed so that I can post some here. ^.^

Finally, my BF and I have managed to compromise on how we can bring this relationship to the next step. After much thought, we both agreed that I shall stay with him in Australia for a month after my brother's wedding in the coming Jan. Subsequently, I will be going over to Australia more often to get use to the life there, look out for the industry that I will be interested to start off with, as well as checking out what I can do over there for my company to expand.

Even though my BF prefers to get married in the shortest possible time, he is still giving me enough support for the decision that I choose.

Good to see you back. Sounds like you did a nice thing for your friend's wedding.

Wedings can big a big expensive hassle. Here in the US some couples will go 50,000 to 100,000 dollars in debt for their wedding
This is before they have established themselves with houses, cars etc.. I don't understand how someone can spend so much on one day of stress.

It's really cool that your boyfriend is being supportive of your career planning. He sounds like a good guy.
