Count Down

23 more days before I can get to see my boyfriend again.

It is just nice that he will be joining me for Christmas celebration. Not that I do much of a celebration. But Christmas season is my favorite time of the year. The feeling of love, peace, gifts, and warmth. The songs that are played over and over wherever you go. The anticipating of the Day. That is the day I will never work. No matter how attractive that income for that day may be.

I have been cracking my brain as to where I can bring him for a wonderful Christmas Dinner. Initially, I had wanted to bring Eric to sky dinning. I heard that the atmosphere will be very romantic, with great scenery. The food isn't all that great as it is pre-cooked. But since it is meant to be a Christmas celebration, I wouldn't mind spending money to get into the romantic mode. But when the menu price was sent to me, I decided to opt out. It is really ridiculous to be spending nearly S$300 for some pre-cooked food, that may not even taste average, even for Christmas.

So now... Eric wants me to take the initiative for the celebration. We dislike noisy and crowded places. But everywhere will be noisy and crowded on that day... I sort of have something else in mind now. But I'm not too sure how well it will go. I will prepare the dinner myself on that day. A candle light dinner. Having never prepared any Christmas meals before, this is definitely some adventures. I doubt I will do any trial and error before hand. So it has to be done on that day itself. I just hope that he wont end up disliking that meal.

I also thought that I will like to invite some Christmas carols to drop by, sing a song or two. But since I have no affiliations with any church or what so ever, I seriously doubt that they will be willing to do it for an outsider. I have consulted a friend of mine to help me, but her gut feelings are more negative than positive. If they really can't make it, then poor Eric will have to bear with me while I sing the Christmas songs to him!

I usually cut up several fruits, cheeses, nuts, olives different hard breads and serve wine for a Christmas get together.

It's kind of romantic and not so time consuming.
