2 Movings In A Week

Sorry for disappearing. December has always been a super peak period for me. This is especially so for this year.

My last goodbyes with the pigeon family. This are the pictures that I have taken when I last saw them. As I have said earlier, there isn't much changes to the eggs, since they are not hatched. I only hope that the new tenant will be kind enough to let the nest be there till they can learn how to take care of themselves.

Last week, my mother had hired a Feng Shui master to check the feng shui of our home. On top of all other things that the master had mentioned to the family, it appears that my brother and I have to swap our rooms in order for us to have a better future. The immediate reaction between my brother, sister-in-law and I was the feeling of dread.

We hated each other's room. His was a light peach color room, while mine was colorful, which was made up of yellow and blue. Being a man, his room does not have a single mirror, and I can't leave without them. The spaces that we had were so different that it is going to be a huge problem. For example, my clothes are stored in 3 storage space, whereas his, is stored in 2. I have a dressing table filled with all the junks a lady can possibly have. To make it worse, most part of the furniture is built in, so there is no way we can do the change over without major movement.

My brother is getting married real soon, he and his wife will be staying with us. His new furniture will be coming in after he has done with the cabling and painting. All this will be happening this weekend. Knowing my mother, she will insist on the change of room too.

Finally after 3 days, we managed to move all our belongings except the things in the built in wardrobe. I had also bought new cabinet to store my endless junks and repainted the room into a light apple green color, with the help of my friends. The green is so light that I actually dislike it. It is also the master's idea that the room to be in light green. After much persuasion, my friend decided to help me this weekend, to paint part of the wall with leaves and branches using a slightly darker green, an idea that came from one of those home makeover. The urge of buying a sofa bed was great, especially after sighting the one which is really comfortable and cost effective. But after much thought, I decided to just made do with the one that I have, together with my brother's, to DIY a sofa bed instead.

This was the my old room. So rich in colors that I'm so in love with. Tsk tsk. So now, I will concentrate dolling up the new room. Once everything is done that way I wanted it, I will post the picture here.

Hey babe! Yeah, it most certainly sucks that you have to switch rooms. With all the junk in your room... oh my gawd! The moving required, haha! No wonder I've not seen you around these past few days. Never seen your brother's room before so I have no concept of what it's like. Doll it up real nice and post the pics k? :D

Is Feng shui real? I know a lot of people here in the US are throwing the word around but does it make a big difference spiritually?

I know some cultures have to have their front door facing north and water has to move through the house in a certain direction.

thaddeous: Opps... can you please tell me who you are..? I don't recognise your nick name... But anyway, my broter's room is just a boring light peach colored retangular room.

Kirsten: Yeah! I'll make sure that it will be great! Keke!!

Hammer: Whether it is real or not, it really depends on individual. Just like any religion, it doesn't apply to one who doesn't believe.

Most Chinese believe in it. A person's feng shui changes every year though. So if you really believe in it, it will even tell you where you have to face when you sit in places that brings you money and luck, like in office.

The water concept applies to all, be it home or offices. A lot of big companies have man-made fountains right outside the entrance of the door to bring in more wealth.

For my family (doesn't include mum), we just do things the way we deem suit. However, if we seek for advice, then we will follow closely.
