Treatment
This is my 1st time to chiropractic. It is expensive as compared to treatments like normal massage or 'tui na'. Almost 3 times the pricing.
But it is good.
I have been feeling aching and numbness from my shoulder all the way to my hand. It has gotten so irritating for the past few days that I really need to seek help.
Friend helped me to book a season for the chiropractic. I could not wait till that day. Went to 'tui na' before that. In fact I had 2 seasons of that before I went to see the chiropractic doctor.
Doctor examine my back and could easily tell me all my bad habits. One deadly habit was cracking my bones. Friends who have known me, will know that I do that often. It started when I was 12 years old.
All this cracking has actually shifted my bone, resulting it pressing against my nerve, costing the numbness and tingling sensation on my hands at times. He told me I need to stop it once he realigned my bones.
Doctor told me to drink lots of fluid. Something that I am not good with too. I can drink less than 500ml per day.
After all the adjusting, I was transferred to another room where I was given some other treatment. Can't remember the name of the treatment though...
Immediately when I left that Doctor's room, I wanted to crack my bones again... Argh...
I was doing head rotation afterwards, and accidentally crack it again. But I must admit that so far I had done a great job. I have resisted the urge to do some cracking although the body is screaming for it.
You can't imagine how many places I can do it within 30 sec. My neck, shoulder blades, shoulder joints, elbow, spin, hips, knees and toes. I managed to kick the habit of cracking my fingers for a long time, for fear of finger joints getting too big.
I will be going back for the next season on Monday. Need reminder to drink lots of water and don't crack anywhere else!
Now I am feeling like a stiff block of wood.
By the way, the 1st season also stop the clicking sound on my jaw.
Not bad, but I have to go through cold turkey to kick a habit of more than 10 years.
Help...
